| Tom B. | Troutdale, OR | August 22, 2008 | Even though protecting the environment is an important consideration, we also have to plan for our energy future so we can continue to function as a society. Renewable energy, and clean-burning natural gas, are the most sustainable ways to keep the lights on without severe environmental impacts. Our legislature must support renewable energy projects and new ways to bring natural gas into Oregon. |
| Robert H. | Scio, OR | August 21, 2008 | We must streamline the process, so Nuclear Power Plants can be online within five years. In the meantime, get rid of our "so call Governor and his cronies, before it too late. |

| Dean A. | Portland, OR | August 21, 2008 | I believe that our nation has allowed the so called enviromentalist to take over this country and especialy this state. Their overall plan is to take us to the worst of all third World countrys. Then they'll all leave and say good luck with that. I believe that this nation is about to turn a corner and regular people are about to revolt. We're easy going and tolerant to a certain point. When we've been pushed past that point watch out. As the character in Happy Texas said "It's go time". I'm registered and I have and do vote. |

This can all be done with current technology. Also, lets continue to put pressure on auto makers all over the world to supply us with clean running vehicles of all size and shape. The enviromentalists have to be made aware of the time it takes to turn things around, it can't be done on a dime but we must get going NOW!!!! | John B. | Grants Pass, OR | August 19, 2008 | Algae is the best green product out there producing 10,000 + gallons of fuel per acre compared to the closest one palm oil at 635 gallon per acre. Corn is at the bottom with 18 gallons per acre making it useless to produce for fuel but for some reason the government wants to use it. Knuckel heads! The fuel from the algae is easily made into gas, diesel, kerosine, and cooking oil. Algae has the best yield and is easy to grow and grows very rapidly. 10,000 gallons times 500 acres is 5,000,000 gallons of fuel per cycle of growth. Then you alternate the growth cycle so your always producing more fuel on a continuous basis. |

| Tom P. | Beaverton, OR | August 19, 2008 | If you really want to show the people who wish to free the rivers from dams from their misguied fantasy that it would stop all pollution and make things better, why not tell every electric utility that has a dam, or a coal fired plant, to not produce ANY electiricty during the week of November 4 and let the people in Oregon feel what would occur to really show them what happens if we take them all down. 1 week without power may change people's minds a bit. |
