This system has allowed America's rise to power, and will be key to it's continued strength. Please allow markets and consumers to pick the best energy options. We can do it. |

| Donald P. | Hillsboro, OR | September 13, 2008 | We need to drill off of the oregon coast while we explore and develop all the alternative energy sources. We also need to build nuclear power plants, as it is a very clean and affordable source of energy for fuel cell technology. |

| Kristin O. | Jacksonville, OR | September 13, 2008 | Energy independence is possibly the most important issue that faces our country at this time. Addressing it clearly through supporting ALL forms of energy (including drilling) is critical. Please support an "All of the above" strategy in the State of Oregon! |

| Patrick o. | Oregon City, OR | September 12, 2008 | The HARDCORE LEFT in this country are going to destroy this country from within. They need to grow up and see life for what it really is.We have families and children to support and we need energy to fulfill our need and rights as citizens. Oil is not the monster that the left tries to make everybody believe. Correct me if I am wrong, but,IS NOT OIL ORGANIC???????????? |
| Bradley H. | Eugene, OR | September 12, 2008 | Hyperion Power Module. It's the future! |
| Caitlin E. | Beaverton, OR | September 12, 2008 | Americans have a RIGHT to safe and secure energy supplies. I don't care if that involves nuclear, oil, coal, LNG, wind or whatever source we need. We have a responsibility to ensure these supplies are as safe and clean as is POSSIBLE, but our economy and national security are more important than a couple of frogs or rodents or somebody who doesn't like the look of a windmill. Screw the environmental nutjobs. Greenpeace, the EDF, Sierra Club and similar moonhead organizations and their liberal allies in congress are the #1 threat to our country. They are directly responsible for us sending billions of dollars overseas every day to buy oil which could be produced right here....that's money that could end poverty, provide high paying jobs to US workers, and render many of those count |

| Peter L. | Portland, OR | September 12, 2008 | Development of alternative energy sources, including and perhaps especially nuclear energy, requires your active commitment to a solution, Senators, not to party rhetoric. |

| Paul W. | Corvallis, OR | September 11, 2008 | Nuclear seems to be one of the better options. But we need to use low-waste technology like France does. |
| Carla M. | Eugene, OR | September 11, 2008 | x |
| Cameron H. | Ashland, OR | September 11, 2008 | Environmental groups with questionable motives and the help of our self serving government have brought energy development (not to mention development in general) in this country to a virtual standstill. Due to court actions presided over by activist judges, congressional malfeasance, and local governmental "bandwagoning" energy is becoming more scarce and hence more expensive. Nuclear Energy production is safe and relatively inexpensive, yet some would have us believe that it is going to lead us to our deaths. Current regulation delays new sources of energy for years along with unnecessary environmental impact reports, court actions, and protests. Stop the delays. Lets repeal the silly, unscientific, and emotional barriers to new and improved energy production. |

| Patricia D. | Cottage Grove, OR | September 11, 2008 | This do nothing attitude and stalemate on the part of both houses of Congress has got to stop. It is time for this country to gain its independence in regards to the energy issue and time for Congress to quit breaking the backs of Americans for the sole purpose of their selfish self and special interests!!! We have the resources here! Use them! That would not only serve to create our independence, but just imagine the boost to the economy that would be gained. |
| Rosalie L. | Medford, OR | September 11, 2008 | x |
| Gary K. | Scio, OR | September 11, 2008 | guarantee minimum price to each form and let the total sources support the guarantee as a supplier tax |
| James M. | Turner, OR | September 11, 2008 | x |
| Amanda W. | Portland, OR | September 11, 2008 | I would like to know when "good hard working, tax paying Americans" became synonymous with "willfully ignorant and hateful"? I am hard working, pay my taxes, AND inform myself about the nature of the corporations that are putting themselves up as "freedom watch dogs". They care no more about our freedom and our way of life than they do about the people of China or the Amazon or any other place on the planet they can pillage for profit. Educate yourselves! You're giving the rest of us a bad name. |

| Amanda W. | Portland, OR | September 11, 2008 | x |
| mike n. | Turner, OR | September 11, 2008 | Start building Nuclear Power plants NOW! I would much rather have 3, 5, 10 of these in Oregon then have half the State covered with windmills. |
| Linda B. | The Dalles, OR | September 11, 2008 | x |
| Victor B. | Canby, OR | September 11, 2008 | "Environmental" wacko liberals can't have it both ways. Either drill, drill, drill, or spin, bob, and nuke! Energy is necessary for people. |

| Michelle F. | Elmira, OR | September 11, 2008 | My friend worked with someone who invented a carburetor that got over 100mpg. That was over 10 years ago and he was bought out. Why have we not seen that on the market? |
| Michelle F. | Elmira, OR | September 11, 2008 | x |
| Floyd H. | Portland, OR | September 11, 2008 | I support "all of the above", as well as expanded domestic drilling (offshore & in Anwar). Natural gas is also a very important option for Oregon. |

| Larry C. | Gresham, OR | September 11, 2008 | x |
| Siania F. | John Day, OR | September 11, 2008 | Look at the majority, not the minority. |
| Frank M. | Portland, OR | September 11, 2008 | We cannot trust congress (our government) to do waht is necessary and porper to protect our economy by porviding inexpensive energy. We asked OPEC to pick our pockets. To have a cost advantage in a global economy we should be energy independent. |
| Hallie A. | Bend, OR | September 11, 2008 | x |
| Roxanne F. | Midland, OR | September 11, 2008 | Start working FOR OREGON please. Work for the Lumbermen, the Farmers and Ranchers, and all who truly make this State what it is! | Dennis P. | Portland, OR | September 11, 2008 | Please take the politics out of the decision and do what is best for the country for a change. This problem has been over 30 years in the making and it is way past time to something real and permanent about it. Drill now, create alternative sources now. |
| Catherine H. | September 11, 2008 | x | |
| Albert P. | Scappoose, OR | September 11, 2008 | Drill, Drill, Drill |

| Richard H. | September 11, 2008 | x | |
| Robert B. | Clatskanie, OR | September 11, 2008 | 1 wind turbine will power 1 thousand homes, 1 nuclear plant will power 3 million homes. If and when electric cars are perfected for the masses we will not have the infastructure to support them without nuclear power. Don't throw our future away for the sake of leftist enviromentalist whack jobs! |
