Stephen R. Eugene, ORSeptember 16, 2008 We need to tap into all of our renewable resouces!
Margie G. Gresham, ORSeptember 16, 2008 When it comes to energy, let the people decide...isn't THAT democracy?
Myrna T. Beaverton, ORSeptember 16, 2008 Stop using ethanol in gasoline!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oregon is taking our rights away by forcing us to use ethanol. We should have a choice!!!
Start drilling now and continue looking for GOOD choices.
John B. Salem, ORSeptember 16, 2008 I believe too many socalled environmentalists in Oregon have lost sight of what sensible resource management means for the overall livability and prosperity of all Oregon's citizens.
mike g. Springfield, ORSeptember 16, 2008 we are not going to take this total BS environmental crap any more.It was cooling 30 yrs ago now its warming well guess what were comeing out of the last ice age so i hope so, you morons.
Dan S. Camas, WASeptember 16, 2008 x
Justin H. Eugene, ORSeptember 16, 2008 Why do theses small groups of environmentalists have so much say in our world? I personally would like to see them have to go to work every day to make ends meet. These types of environmentalists just don't live in the real world.
Fred S. Creswell, ORSeptember 16, 2008 Let's start doing all the options and see what shakes out in the end
Ruth S. Portland, ORSeptember 16, 2008 x
Jim D. Lake Oswego, ORSeptember 16, 2008 x
Joan M. Astoria, ORSeptember 16, 2008 We need LNG and we need it now so we can stop using coal to make electricity. All of the auto makers are building hybrids/electric cars, etc., and we will need more electricity to run those. The more people that have hybrid autos will help reduce our dependence on foreign oil since we won't need as much. Please get behind LNG along with other renewable energy.
Joseph M. Tualatin, ORSeptember 16, 2008 There are a lot of great potential sources of renewable energy...but for now, we need to tap as many practical sources as possible, including things such as coal-to-jet fuel that were economically impractical when oil was only $40 a barrel. I want our politicians to quit talking and actually do something!!!
Joshua H. Tualatin, ORSeptember 16, 2008 I am ALL FOR lower energy costs! lets use the resources that Oregon is known for and help our economy!
B J. Rogue River, ORSeptember 16, 2008 x
Denny S. Portland, ORSeptember 16, 2008 x
Robert B. Lincoln City, ORSeptember 16, 2008 x
keith h. Clackamas, ORSeptember 16, 2008 x
Rodney E. Jefferson, ORSeptember 16, 2008 drill or get uot and put somebody in that will

Berni B. Clackamas, ORSeptember 16, 2008 x
Chuck B. Clackamas, ORSeptember 16, 2008 x
Michael S. Creswell, ORSeptember 16, 2008 I am not in favor of any up grade to Wickiup Dam. But I am in favor of the using the resources we have available such as natural gas,Nuclear power etc.Let the Natural gas plant go as planned and tell the radical environmentalists to take a hike. This is our State Also and I am Damn tired of these people and the and their stupid Ideas. And this stupid Global warming notion. That is falling apart day by day and has no data to back up anything. In short USE OUR RESOURCES WE HAVE AVAILABlE OR WE WILL VOTE FOR SOMEONE WHO WILL.
Susan K. Portland, ORSeptember 16, 2008 x
Sally S. Oregon City, ORSeptember 16, 2008 We need to pursue all energy options for the US and Oregon! We need competion to keep prices low because high prices put all of our jobs at stake and hurt the poor the most. We need to pursue nuclear. It is cost efficient and does not emit any CO2. We need to open up all areas that might contain oil so that oil companies can figure out where the most cost efficient sources are.
Darrell G. Portland, ORSeptember 16, 2008 We need to drill now
Glenn S. Salem, ORSeptember 16, 2008 Except for Nuclear, properly maintained energy sites can be a great benefit. Nuclear simply has too many long lasting dangers and should be avoided until we can use it in a way other than a giant boiler for steam turbines and control the radiation properly.
Travis S. Portland, ORSeptember 16, 2008 Senators, we are signing this petition in support of an "All of the Above" strategy for energy in Oregon. Please support the development of all clean and affordable sources of energy, allowing markets and consumers to pick the best options.
Dave L. Salem, ORSeptember 16, 2008 The loonies are running a muck in the this state! I wish they would go back to whatever state they've already wrecked. Once they destroy the state they're in, they go to another and do the same thing there. They should just stay where they are, because they'll soon finish wrecking this state too and they'll want to move again anyway.
Jeff S. Mcminnville, ORSeptember 16, 2008 x
Timothy L. Springfield, ORSeptember 15, 2008 It's past due.
Trent W. Lake Oswego, ORSeptember 15, 2008 x
Darrin W. Grants Pass, ORSeptember 15, 2008 All, except for "wind farms", unless established far from human habitation. But then, what about the effects on wildlife? At any rate, all else listed is at least worthy of consideration. - Individual "homestead" wind generators, OTOH, are whole different animals, and should be considered for rebates/tax-breaks.
Marion V. Hillsboro, ORSeptember 15, 2008 x
Peter B. Portland, ORSeptember 15, 2008 do something please!
Justin S. Springfield, ORSeptember 15, 2008 Let's eliminate our reliance on foriegn oil and increase our use of more effecient and environmentally friendly energy sources.
Ivan K. Salem, ORSeptember 15, 2008 x
Dermot O. Ashland, ORSeptember 15, 2008 x
Sam L. Beaverton, ORSeptember 15, 2008 We should allow drilling, windmills, wave energy, dams, nuclear everywhere in Oregon that is outside of the Urban Growth Boundary including anywhere offshore. There should be no restrictions on building pipelines in Oregon.
Olivia B. Lake Oswego, ORSeptember 15, 2008 Drill now - on and off shore. Build new refineries to accommodate new oil.
marshall m. Grants Pass, ORSeptember 15, 2008 x
Jason T. Canby, ORSeptember 15, 2008 There is a growing pool of thought that is advising this country to get off our dependency on foreign oil. It appears to me that our best chance for this is to start finding our own oil in our own country. I realize the consumer driven and militaristic reality as to the original reasons of not drilling on our own soil. At this point, if we can continue the trend of developing newer sources of energy and drill on our own soil, we are correcting two things that are holding us back. We can have oil at affordable and good supply and eventually learn how to harness new sources of energy at affordable rates. Seems pretty clear.
Susan B. Springfield, ORSeptember 15, 2008 x
Nicholas F. Monmouth, ORSeptember 15, 2008 The reactionary environmentalist zealots that are stopping progress in Oregon need to be stopped. We need to use scientific facts to education Oregonians about the benefits of using nuclear energy, geothermal power, ect. The pathos driven ideals of the short sighted and the ignorant must be changed if we are ever going to become independent of foreign oil.
veronica c. Junction City, ORSeptember 15, 2008 x
Janet L. Salem, ORSeptember 15, 2008 Stop playing political games with my families future.......Drill now and on our own soil and shore line - We do not need to depend on people who hate us for our power.
Trevis L. Roseburg, ORSeptember 15, 2008 x
Debbie F. Eugene, ORSeptember 15, 2008 We need affordable energy - now!!
Troy G. Bend, ORSeptember 15, 2008 x
Tory M. Veneta, ORSeptember 15, 2008 x
Carla R. Cottage Grove, ORSeptember 15, 2008 We have to do an all of the above approach to energy independence in all of America. When I go to the polls I will be voting for the "all of the above" candidates exclusively. FYI I am a life long Democrat.

Doug G. West Linn, ORSeptember 15, 2008 This is what Oregon needs: http://www.nuscalepower.com/

This is Oregon homegrown technology, could be Oregon built, Oregon employees, Oregon power.

It has amazing potential that can bring fantastic, safe, clean, sustainable power to the state.

The technology is known and could be deployed very, very quickly. Our kids will revere us if we do.

For the naysayers, please read the 2007 book, Power To Save the World, by Cravens. It will help educate you out of nonsense and into knowledge, truth, and the future.

Terry H. Newberg, ORSeptember 15, 2008 It is time to do what the American people want. We not only want to find alternative energy sources but we want to drill for oil in Alaska, drill off the Pacific coast, built nuclear plants and tap natural gas. Do it now!
Del H. Central Point, ORSeptember 15, 2008 x
Scott M. Salem, ORSeptember 15, 2008 Please help me.
R. T. C. Astoria, ORSeptember 15, 2008 No LNG - No Nukes - No Drilling - Freeze in the dark
Steven K. Newberg, ORSeptember 15, 2008 Using and managing your natural resources isn't hard. Managing your local radical environmentalists is very hard especially when they are the only ones your Senators are listening too. Don't be fooled again Senators. We can do it efficiently and clean. Give us a chance for a change.
james m. Eugene, ORSeptember 15, 2008 x
Karla H. Corvallis, ORSeptember 15, 2008 My husband and I are having a tough time making the bills in Sept, we don't know what we're going to do this winter - a winter that's predicted to be very cold. We don't want handouts, we just want affordable gas and natural gas, and electricity. Don't tear out our dams, let us drill for our own oil and don't burden us any further paying for tax credits for alternative energy that is not now proven. If something isn't done soon, instead of 'paying taxes' we're going to be lining up for heating and food welfare this winter. THE REPUBLICANS WANT TO HELP US - WHY WON'T YOU? Karla Holmgren

joe r. Eugene, ORSeptember 14, 2008 You people want to save some rodent as families are struggling to feed their children because of exorbitant gasoline prices? Do Oregonians lack common sense? Seems that way. Get a clue Oregon!

Harold O. Springfield, ORSeptember 14, 2008 This not about politics although I'm sure you'll see it that way, it's about the future of America. Now do your job as you took an oath to do and work for America and not yourself.

Dennis C. Beaverton, ORSeptember 14, 2008 Washington people suck. You have no idea what our lives are like and you act you you don't give a rip about us.

We The People want energy and we want it now. You can get all wacko over it all you want. You are wrong and at some point (the longer you wait the worse it will be for you). $4 Gas was a tipping point. Washington is close to a another tipping point, one that our government hasn't hit since 1776.
Sonia L. Grants Pass, ORSeptember 14, 2008 Strongly suggest you check out www.permaculture.com - re David Blume - he has great suggestions. Henry Ford's first cars ran on alcohol, this is less flammable than nat. gas in a fwy. auto accidents. PLEASE help, do what he suggests, we will ALL benefit for certain.

Joe M. Brightwood, ORSeptember 14, 2008 I have been fighting Radical groups for 10 years over at blueribbon.org- good to see this movement before we are all living in a cave again!
Christian G. Beaverton, ORSeptember 14, 2008 We need more energy now!
Patrick J. Hillsboro, ORSeptember 14, 2008 Who is really worse, Bin Laden or Al Gore? Bin Laden wants to destroy us because he hates us, AlGore has misled a large group of impressionable fools into believing that developing our resources is criminal and it is preferable to send our wealth to Iran, Venezuala, Saudi Arabia, and Russia. AlGore and his fools have caused the Iraq war, caused our economic problems, and support the majority of the puppet dictators in power in the world today.
Guy M. Salem, ORSeptember 13, 2008 The day we allowed left-wing radicals to decide what kinds of power we could and couldn't use was the exact same day we sealed our fate as it relates to energy shortages and threats of shortages. It's the day energy prices were guaranteed to continuously spiral upwards at a rate of speed faster than inflation. It's the day we decommissioned fully-functioning nuclear power plants with redundant safety systems and earthquake-resistant pedigrees. It's the day we let a very small minority of fear-mongering, ulterior-motive extremists and their deep-pocketed lobby display unbridled contempt for, and make a complete mockery of, the second-to-none democratic process of our Founding Fathers.
Annika L. Portland, ORSeptember 13, 2008 x
Richard N. Draper, VASeptember 13, 2008 x
Arthur S. Portland, ORSeptember 13, 2008 It was criminal negligence not to break the foreign oil stranglehold after the 1970's oil embargo. Seven years after 9/11, do we still permit the idiocy to continue? If we don’t act, then once again we have no one to blame except ourselves. America energy independence today!
James G. Clackamas, ORSeptember 13, 2008 x
Colleen G. Bellevue, WASeptember 13, 2008 x
Dwight S. Salem, ORSeptember 13, 2008 Ever since Al Gore, who makes over $100 million a year in this venture (this is a business to him), got started, our politicians have succumbed to the environmentalists without using logic and a clear head. The bureaucrats need to focus on our economy, or face sincere efforts to vote them out of office. We need energy! Let's reduce ALL of the bureaucratic red tape and make it happen. We can have clean, affordable energy for all. Politicians have been the problem, not the solution. There is an upcoming revolution in this country. If you don't believe it, follow the Sarah Palin campaign.
James S. Drain, ORSeptember 13, 2008 The environmentalist and their organizations are anti-American in nature. They kowtow to radical fringe people and concepts that are unrealalistic,anti-productive and harmful to the good of the majority of people. All members of any environmental group should be held financialy responsible for the harm that they generate toward the American people.

Dan S. Sandy, ORSeptember 13, 2008 It's time to shed the restrictions placed on us by faux environmentalists (who are really just anti-industrialists). We should develop ALL of our resources.
